Sakhir Orange M4 Track Car | Featuring Apex Forged 18” VS-5RS Sprint™ Wheels

Earlier this year we were excited to get a sample set of our brand new, forged VS-5RS wheels on our friend Blake’s F82 M4 track car. These wheels are leading the charge for our Sprint™ Line designs in 5×120 BMW fitments and are the lightest wheels we’ve ever made. Their weight was a massive point of focus for us, but equally important was being able to offer chassis-specific widths and offsets engineered for the F8X M3 and M4 community.

These wheels are our first forged BMW wheels that are 11 inches wide. They will be available in our popular, staggered 9.5” ET22 or 10” ET25 front, and 11” ET44 rear fitments, in 18” and 19” diameters. Changes to our forging processes and the development of our new true motorsport blanks have given us the freedom to engineer these 11” forged wheels, with 11”s being just the beginning. We plan to push our BMW fitments even further, eventually going up to 13” wide, and hope to see enthusiasts push the limits of these wheels on track. If those limits are ever exceeded, our new Sprint™ Spec inner lip provides more protection than ever from impacts and/or off-track excursions, lap after lap.

Tom is a BMW Fitment Expert at APEX Wheels. Prior to joining the company in 2019, he worked for BMW of North America as Fleet Manager: Portland (OR) for the ReachNow car-sharing program, and as Warranty Administrator/Loaner Fleet Manager at BMW Portland. In addition, Tom has extensive training in BMW TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) as well as in-depth knowledge of all BMW chassis and their wheel fitment options, with and without aftermarket brake and suspension upgrades. His high-performance driving experience includes autocross events in southern Oregon and track days at PIR in his 2004 E46 330i with 17x9 ET42 APEX ARC-8 wheels.
