The SL-12RT embodies what sets Apex’s Touring Line apart: a bold new design that breaks from convention while elevating both the performance and the presence of your car.

As a Touring Line wheel, the SL-12RT’s design showcases a more muscular, expressive aesthetic, blending the stepped-lip geometry of the ML-7RT with twelve straight spokes. It’s a look that gives this wheel a muscular presence that’s distinct from the more complex styles of the ML-10RT and ML-7RT. Bold looks, backed by even bolder engineering and strength make the SL-12RT an ideal wheel for high-horsepower builds and aggressive driving.

Originally envisioned for the Corvette Z06, the SL-12RT makes a strong design statement within our Forged Touring line. Initially, this wheel will be available in limited 18- and 19-inch fitments for BMWs, Corvettes, and Supras. Three platforms that pair perfectly with its aggressive styling.

ENGINEERED TO LOOK AND PERFORM

We love vintage three-piece motorsport wheels, but decades of technological advancements have exposed the shortcomings of this design, which is why we created the forged SL-12RT as a monoblock wheel that benefits from Apex’s rigorous vehicle research and engineering standards. The result is a wheel that’s lighter, stronger, and maintenance-free compared to most vintage options.

It begins with a clean sheet design, conceived completely in-house by our talented team of engineers. From design to manufacturing, we CNC-machine each SL-12RT from a 10,000-ton forged block of 6061-T6 aluminum, using our specialized motorsport blanks. Part of what makes this 1,600-lb load rated wheel so strong is the addition of 32% more material to create a critical strength improvement, otherwise known as our reinforced Sprint-spec inner lip. Because manufacturer claims don’t mean anything without validation, we independently test our SL-12RT to standards beyond the industry minimums to truly validate strength and integrity.

Our engineers pushed the design requirements of the SL-12RT to further optimize weight saving measures while balancing the other aspects of Real Performance. Precision side-milling on each of the 12 spokes eliminates critical mass and dramatically improves the overall look of the wheel.

SL-12RT fitments are tailored specifically for each application, and we used our extensive 3D brake scan library to create spoke profiles that maximize concavity while still maximizing brake clearance. The result are wheels that have the concavity enthusiasts demand while still clearing the brakes of modern performance vehicles.

The SL-12RT will be offered in three exciting finishes - our brilliant Race Silver and deeply-hued Anthracite, both with a machine-polished lip. There’s also a sinister Satin Black finish, for those who want a purpose-built look. Like all Apex wheels, laser-engraved specs are clearly marked on the barrel, and the SL-12RT accepts both Apex and OEM caps for seamless customization.
