A Brief history of the 2014-2017 McLaren 650S

The 650S is a highly revised and updated version of the 12C. Still utilizing monocell I but with new bodywork, increased power and some software changes. The 650S represents a significant improvement over the previous model. Power was increased once again now up to 641 Hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. This model still used the M838T twin turbo V8 engine used since the MP4-12C and many other McLaren models.

Why it makes a good track car

The unbelievable performance is what makes it a great track car. With an unparalleled suspension system, incredible power and torque from the twin turbo 3.8L V8, and incredible feeling hydraulic steering. For the price these go for, you will have a hard time finding something that performs better that is still street legal. A lightweight set of wheels designed specifically for the 12C that gives you increased performance with the ability to have greater sidewall support for those track oriented tires.
