Just one step into the garage and we instantly knew we were in for a treat. We met up with Shaun to photograph our new forged EC-7R wheels designed specifically for the Porsche 987, 981, and 718 Cayman chassis. This wasn’t some ordinary garage, it was more like a Porsche museum with a beautiful selection of new and classic Porsches and memorabilia.
After we took a tour of the garage, we mounted our new forged wheels to Shaun’s 987 Cayman S race car. This thing was built for endurance racing, as you’ll see with the parts mentioned below. The staggered 18×9” front and 18×10.5” rear fit this car perfectly, with a beautiful anthracite finish. Designed extra strong, the JWL/VIA load rating for the Cayman is only 1,260 lbs and we beefed up our wheels to 1,600 lbs without compromising weight savings. Packed with premium features, the EC-7R checks all of the boxes as a strong, lightweight and affordable wheel. We hope you enjoy the photos below as much as we did taking them.
