APEX: Tell us some details about yourself & your car.
Sebastien: My name is Sebastien Riel, i have been a long time motor enthusiast! For as long as I can remember I’ve been working under a car with my father. I received my professional degree as a technician which led me to becoming the owner of a 6 bay shop in Repentigny, QC, Canada.
Our shop is a 35 year old general maintenance franchise with a European performance division that began in 2014 called EXO Performance. What would a performance shop be without a performance car??? So it all started with a bone stock E46 M3 that we planned on transforming into a dedicated track car.

APEX: Why did you choose APEX Wheels over the rest?
Sebastien: I chose APEX wheels because they are lightweight quality track wheels, but before anything else I liked the fact that they are a great company ran by passionate people.
APEX: How did you get into track racing & for how long?
Sebastien: I’m not yet into track racing but you can still find me at the track each and every week as a HPDE Instructor always working on improving lap times! I’ve only owned a track car for about 3 years now, but motorsport is not new to me as I did a lot of dirt bike racing winning a championship in 2013.
What is your favorite memory or entertaining story from the track?
Sebastien: Ehh if I would have been interviewed sooner I wouldn’t have had a recent experience to share. I would say without a doubt the most memorable experience on the track for me is my last HPDE as it was my first experience with the wall!
APEX: How many events do you participate in each year, care to share any track results?
Sebastien: I attend an event almost every week at ICAR which I participate as an instructor. Instructing certainly helps with my track times with personal bests of 1:45,86 and a few time. at LCMT with track time of 1:53,65.
APEX: If you could give one tip to a new racer, what would your tip be?
Sebastien: Consistency, precision, smoothness & seat time.
APEX: Where can we follow you?
Sebastien: https://www.facebook.com/exoperformance/ https://www.instagram.com/exoperformance/ www.exoperformance.com
APEX: Do you have any clubs, shops or racing buddies you want to give a shout out to?
Sebastien: Daniel Caron! Seriously he is one of the most passionate and dedicated guys i know. He also was my first instructor which i and probably he remember really well 😉 Shout out to all the passionate instructors at ICAR which do a great job also!
