APEX: Tell us some details about yourself & your cars.

Arif: My name is Arif. I am 39 years old and live in Switzerland. My biggest hobby is the Nordschleife. My car is a 6 speed BMW E92 M3. I have owned the car for almost 9 years and have recently changed the paint color from space gray to Ferrari red.

APEX: Why did you choose APEX Wheels over the rest?

Arif: I chose APEX because the rims are lightweight and look beautiful.

APEX: How did you get into track racing & for how long?

Arif: I’ve been on the track for 16 years and putting most of my seat time on the Nordschleife. I started racing with my E36 M3, then a E46 M3 and now the E92 M3.

APEX: How many events do you participate in each year, care to share any track results?

Arif: I drive over 100 rounds of Nordschleife every year, at least 3-6 times per year.

APEX: If you could give one tip to a new racer, what would your tip be?

Arif: One tip I have is for E92 M3 owners on the Nordschleife. I recommend to run only KW competition 2 or 3 Way suspension. KW Clubsport 2 or 3 fold does not work well. I have tested all coilovers extensively.

Tom is a BMW Fitment Expert at APEX Wheels. Prior to joining the company in 2019, he worked for BMW of North America as Fleet Manager: Portland (OR) for the ReachNow car-sharing program, and as Warranty Administrator/Loaner Fleet Manager at BMW Portland. In addition, Tom has extensive training in BMW TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) as well as in-depth knowledge of all BMW chassis and their wheel fitment options, with and without aftermarket brake and suspension upgrades. His high-performance driving experience includes autocross events in southern Oregon and track days at PIR in his 2004 E46 330i with 17x9 ET42 APEX ARC-8 wheels.
