APEX: Tell us some details about yourself & your car.

Allen Shapiro: My name is Allen Shapiro. I’m 27 years old and I live in Portland, Oregon. I drive a 2010 BMW E92 M3 in Alpine White. I am currently sponsored by TuningTechFS who tuned my current car and my E46 M3 and Race Consulting Agency who helped source all the suspension modifications for my car.

APEX: Why did you choose APEX Wheels over the rest?

Allen Shapiro: As long as I have had an M3, ARC-8’s have been on my list for wheels that I want to have on my car someday. I love the way they look and the fact that they have terrific weight savings made them really appealing to me. I had the exact same ones on my E46 M3 and when I purchased my E92 M3 I knew that there was only one way to go!

APEX: How did you get into cars & for how long?

Allen Shapiro: I’ve always had a passion for cars. Growing up my dad had a modified 84 Porsche Carrera (which is now mine) and a Twin Turbo FD Mazda RX7. Some of my earliest memories are hanging out with him in the garage. Cars are something we really connected and bonded over. As an adult, I have found modifying cars to have a really positive impact on my life. I have built many great relationships and have made many great memories through cars.

Tom M.

Tom is a BMW Fitment Expert at APEX Wheels. Prior to joining the company in 2019, he worked for BMW of North America as Fleet Manager: Portland (OR) for the ReachNow car-sharing program, and as Warranty Administrator/Loaner Fleet Manager at BMW Portland. In addition, Tom has extensive training in BMW TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) as well as in-depth knowledge of all BMW chassis and their wheel fitment options, with and without aftermarket brake and suspension upgrades. His high-performance driving experience includes autocross events in southern Oregon and track days at PIR in his 2004 E46 330i with 17x9 ET42 APEX ARC-8 wheels.
