Are you looking to get the most out of your second generation 2016 Boxster Spyder? We have all the information to get the wheel and tire fitment that best suits your needs on this 981 Porsche Boxster Spyder wheel and tire fitment guide. From performance street oriented setups to hardcore track fitments for dedicated track cars, we have wheels to cover any use case. Our Flow Formed SM-10 represents a great option that will decrease unsprung mass as well as provide better sidewall support for wider tires. The Forged VS-5RS, EC-7RS, and SM-10RS increase performance even further with less weight and added strength in key areas.
Rear Toe Link Clearance
APEX 19x11" rear wheels require the installation of aftermarket motorsport style rear toe links from companies such as Tarett, GMG, SP Motorsports, or BBi to achieve the clearance needed for the reduced wheel diameter. This will also allow you to correct your toe setting when dialing in more negative camber at the rear. APEX 19x10.5" rear wheels do not require this modification.
Brake Clearance Information
In the engineering phase of wheel development we 3D scan factory brakes and review 2D aftermarket brake templates in order to optimize our barrel profiles and spoke curvatures. As a result, our wheels offer massive brake clearance so you can run the smallest possible wheel diameter.
* The factory yellow 6 piston 410mm PCCBs require 20" wheels for proper clearance. Read our article for more info.

Wider fitments for enhanced performance
These are our most popular GT4/Spyder fitments perfect for drivers that want an increase in Performance stock without the compromise of having to heavily modify the car. Some modifications may be needed depending on the tires and wheels run. These fitments offer a dual-duty option for those who want to use these wheels on the street and drive to the track for an HPDE. Summer and Extreme Performance tires are what we recommend for these wheel fitments.

Track focused fitments that require significant modifications
Many GT4 owners are inspired by the GT4 Clubsport and inquire about running an 18" wheel and tire configuration. 18" wheels will reduce rotational mass, decrease running tire costs, and open you up to racing slick compounds only offered in this diameter, however, the standard 6 piston 380mm steel brakes found on the road-going GT4 will not clear an 18" wheel barrel from any wheel manufacturer.
To overcome this barrier, owners will purchase and install PFC brakes very similar to the brakes found on the Clubsport. The PFC BBK is quite an investment, therefore, many owners have opted to go with factory 997.2 GT3/GT3RS 6 piston 380mm front brakes as a more cost effective solution. The good news is that our 18" EC-7RS, SM-10RS, & VS-5RS forged wheels offer massive brake clearance, and were engineered specifically to clear both the PFC Sport kit (pn 0.380.0001/2 Sport), as well as the factory 997.2 GT3/GT3RS brakes. * They do not clear the PFC Race kit.
