BMW F97 X3M Wheel & Tire Fitment Guide

Brake Clearance Information

In the engineering phase of wheel development we 3D scan factory brakes and review 2D aftermarket brake templates in order to optimize our barrel profiles and spoke curvatures. As a result, our wheels offer massive brake clearance so you can run the smallest possible wheel diameter.

All fitments listed on this guide are xDrive compatible. If you want to use alternate staggered tire sizes, feel free to email experts@apexwheels.com to confirm compatibility.

  • This fitment is 3mm more aggressive than the factory style 764m 20” X3/4M wheels up front and 1mm more aggressive in the rear.

  • This fitment uses a ½ inch narrower front wheel than the factory style 892m 21” wheels for the X3/4M. Despite that, it sits within .3mm of the stock front 21x9.5 ET31 wheel on the outside edge. Our 9.5 ET22 would fit up front with 255 section tires, but they would be 9mm more aggressive than the factory ET31s which would give to a more aggressive fitment in the front than the rear.

Ideal for the driver who wants to fill out the wheel wells with the widest possible rubber and/or flush offsets. Narrower tire sizes relative to wheel width are more common here to help move the tire sidewall away from the fenders with more aggressive offsets. Street-oriented all-season and summer tires are popular options.
