2018-Current Gen 2.5 Audi R8

Looking for the most ideal wheel & tire fitment for your 2015-Current Audi R8? Our second generation Audi R8 fitment guide has you covered with chassis-specific wheel & tire size recommendations that allow you to run wider rubber to increase performance both on and off the track. This guide covers both Gen 2 and Gen 2.5 Audi R8 models and showcases our R8-specific VS-5RS staggered fitment with two rear wheel options available in 19" and 20" diameters, allowing you to dial-in your setup for your particular application. This performance-focused fitment was developed from the ground-up to maximize the wheel & tire size possible to fit under the factory fenders, with only minimal or no additional modifications required in most cases. Our Gen 2/2.5 R8 VS-5RS setup provides a flush fit with the fenders both front and rear, offering an aggressive appearance to match the significant performance jump our wheels provide over the OEM setup.

These fitments are the perfect match for weekend track warriors and hardcore racers seeking to maximize the wheel and tire size that they can fit on their Gen 2/2.5 Audi R8. These aggressive wheel specs will occasionally require supportive modifications commonly found on track cars, such as increased negative camber. While certain configurations can provide a complete direct fit on a stock car, additional modifications may be required for a rub-free fitment depending on your suspension setup and specific tire selection. With a focus on brake clearance, our 19"/20" fitments are able to clear the factory Gen 2/2.5 R8 brakes with ease, as well as a variety of aftermarket BBKs.

Rear fitment note for Gen 2/2.5 R8 models:

For second generation Audi R8 models we developed two specific rear wheel options to pair with the 19x9" ET34 up front. The 19x11" ET38 matches the width of the OEM rear wheels, while offering a lower offset for a flush fit with the fenders. This makes for an ideal setup for those wanting to run the same diameter wheels both front and rear, or for those wanting to reuse their factory 19" rear tires. Alternatively, the 20x11.5" ET32 provides an additional 1/2" of wheel width to better support wider and more aggressive rear tires, while offering a slightly more flush fit with the fenders out back compared to the 19x11" ET38.

Whether you are a casual weekend track warrior that still enjoys your car on the street, or a hard core racer competing for a spot on the podium, negative camber is a vital part of chassis setup that has many benefits. Not only will adding negative camber create more room for wider wheel and tire configurations, it more importantly improves handling, turn-in and tire longevity.
