APEX: Why did you choose APEX Wheels over the rest?

Stale: I chose APEX wheels because of the design and they’re well known for quality and performance. I run everything APEX has to offer from the wheels and stud kit to the spacers.

APEX: What other modifications have been done to your car?

Stale: I have done all modifications to the car myself. With the help of my friend @blackbergm3 — I rebuilt the engine recently with new timing chains, rod bearings, and several other small parts and gaskets. I’m only running a custom 420hp 598 NM tune, but I hope to increase this a little by next season. I modified he cars appearance with OEM 1M parts, fenders, bumpers, lights, mirrors, side skirts… everything except the rear flares are molded PRIOR design 1M flares.

APEX: How did you get into track racing & for how long?

Stale: It all started behind the Playstation and the go cart driving when I was younger. I bought a project E30 in 2007 when I was 15 years old and just received my license. I started driving with the BMW car club (search Stale30 on Google) and after a few seasons of building and tracking the car I decided to move onto a new project that would be more track focused. I picked up a track ready 993 GT2 replica for a few years until I realized I’m a BMW guy – I sold the Porsche and bought the 135i because I wanted a newer and better BMW.

APEX: What is your favorite memory or entertaining story from the track?

Stale: My best memories are probably the memories from the camps at night, but let’s not get into details 😛 I always enjoy friendly competition with my track buddy Mr. @blackbergm3

APEX: How many events do you participate in each year, care to share any track results?

Stale: I try to attend roughly 15-20 events each season. I have only driven at Rudskogen and Våler raceways. I am looking forward to my first lap around the Nurburgring next year! My PB is 1:40.2 at Rudskogen and 1:04.8 at Våler, which are ok times, but I plan on going much faster next season.

APEX: If you could give one tip to a new racer, what would your tip be?

Stale: A tip that I would mention is to remember to have fun and don’t clock times all the time.

APEX: Where can we follow you?

Stale: You can follow me on Instagram @stalewenas

APEX: Do you have any clubs, shops or racing buddies you want to give a shout out to?

Stale: We are a solid group of probably 10 enthusiasts with BMW’s who attend track days together – we should have started a club 🙂 I would like to shout out my friend Jan Erik Svarteberg with his fast E46M3 @blackbergm3.
